Born in 1881 in Kanichukulangara, Kerala, K. K. Velu transformed his humble beginnings into a remarkable journey as a visionary entrepreneur and compassionate leader. At the age of 45, he founded the Charankattu Coir
Manufacturing Company with just ten looms, laying the groundwork for a brand that would achieve global recognition in natural fiber solutions.
With limited formal education, Velu’s exceptional business acumen, strong values, and unwavering dedication to community welfare established him as a respected figure in both industry and society. His impactful philanthropic efforts, ranging from temple development to educational initiatives, are a vital part of his enduring legacy.
