Shri K.K. Velu
Visionary founder
1881 – 1956
K. K. Velu, also known as Charangattu Sri. K. K. Velumuthalali, was the pioneering force behind Charankattu Coir Manufacturing Company. Born in 1881 in Kanichukulangara, Kerala, he rose from humble beginnings to establish one of the region’s earliest coir enterprises. With deep business acumen, strong values, and a heart for community service, he built not just a company, but a legacy rooted in sustainability, integrity, and social responsibility. His contributions to local industry, temple development, and public welfare continue to inspire generations.
Srimathi. Parvathy Velu
The silent strength
1892 – 1950
Parvathy Velu, wife of K. K. Velu, came from the well- regarded Walassery family and played a quiet yet powerful role in shaping the legacy of CCM. Her unwavering support for her husband’s vision despite early challenges reflected her grace, strength, and belief in shared purpose. A devoted partner and mother, she upheld the values of compassion, resilience, and humility, becoming an integral part of the family’s journey and the foundation on which the company’s values continue to stand.
